Mindfulness Preparation

It's time to connect to our senses,
just like our horses do..

We all already have the capacity to be present, and it doesn’t require us to change who we are. But we can cultivate these innate qualities with simple practices that are scientifically demonstrated to benefit us in many ways.

How is this going to help me? I hear you ask!

Connect better. Ever find yourself staring blankly at your horse (or family member/friend) and you’ve no idea what they’re saying? Mindfulness is going to help you give them your full attention.

Lower stress. Whether you are feeling stressed or your horse is... or maybe you both are, mindfulness decreases stress and will help you to know what to do next to calm this fear, worry and adrenalin.

Focus your mind. It can be frustrating to have our mind stray off what we’re doing and be pulled in six directions. Meditation hones our innate ability to focus and to stay in the present moment.. exactly where our horses live. When we can be present with our horses we have a much greater chance of hearing what they are saying and responding accordingly.

Reduce brain chatter. The nattering, chattering voice in our head seems never to leave us alone. Isn’t it time we gave it a little break? I know our horses would love it to stop 🙂

Committing to just 5-10 minutes a day can change your life with your horse (and with your family).

For this month I want you to commit to at least 5 minutes a day, every day!

Pick a time of the day that you can do this and create a routine.

PLUS I want you to do a 5 minute mindful meditation just BEFORE you interact with your horse. Seriously, this is going to be one of the best things you ever do!

Ok, now it's time to commit. Share your commitment!
